TMCIT was founded in 1962 and has been training many students who became specialists for the prosperity of Technology country Japan. It offers a five-year main curriculum and two-year advanced cores curriculum. The curriculum in mechanical systems engineering course consists practices and exercises which are experiment and drafting etc., and studying at the desk, in addition, seminar and graduation study which reviews study results. It has been training the students who have both theoretical abilitity and practical abilitit. This is the mission of TMCIT.
Recently manufacturing education faces crisis. There aren’t any practices in faculties of engineering of national universities college. Technical high school which has trained engineer support each sites has declined. In this situation, TMCIT has been more expected to play the center role of manufacturing education from industry. However, the nation has low interest in TMCIT and the budget for it is getting smaller every year. As the results, to get the budget, the establishments of the combined courses between mechanical, electrical and electronic ones increased. Accordingly, the basic parts of the each field become unclear.
It is important for manufacturing education to clear each study field and to learn with another different fields. Shinagawa Campus at TMCIT follows this policy and offers manufacturing education.

Hello. This is Yoshida.
I like cars and motorcycles. I have been transferring many motorcycles
and cars since I was young. Speaking of mechanical systems engineering
students at College of Technology, most of them used to get into car and
motorcycle. But today’s students seem not to have interest in both of them.
That makes me sad.
My special skill is Kendo (Kendo Advisor). Currently there are 6 stages(6-dan).
I participated in the referee of the match of the Tokyo High School Physical
Education Federation, and I am studying the Kendo referee and the method
of teaching Kendo. It's deep. My favorite sports are badminton and skiing.
Masa laboratory's educational policy is not to make my own robot. “Think
by yourself and act by yourself.” It is to nurture students who can do
this.
